International Medical Corps (2026)
Men & Boys Engagement Specialist
Ukraine | GBV Prevention | Men & Boys
Ukraine is a context where evidence-based engagement of men and boys in GBV prevention has yet to be developed — a significant gap and an important opportunity. Working with International Medical Corps and its partners, I am developing a contextualised male engagement strategy grounded in global evidence and adapted to the realities of the Ukrainian conflict — including the specific dynamics of trauma, displacement, and veteran reintegration. The strategy will include trauma-informed and Do No Harm safeguards and provide concrete entry points for designing, testing, and rolling out male engagement programming within existing GBV services.
UNHCR / Key Aid Consulting (2025-2026)
Senior Protection Evaluator
Democratic Republic of Congo | Protection | GBV | PSEA
UNHCR's 2022–2025 Country Strategy in the DRC is one of its most ambitious — spanning community-based protection, GBV prevention, PSEA, and a major localisation agenda in one of the world's most protracted humanitarian crises. I led the evaluation of its Community-Based Protection approach, assessing how effectively it strengthened accountability to affected populations and reinforced community-led protection mechanisms. Findings and recommendations are directly informing the design of UNHCR's next multi-year strategy.
Plan International Finland (2023-2024)
Technical Lead Consultant
Uganda | Ethiopia | Mozambique | Zimbabwe | Myanmar | Laos | SRHR
The My Body My Future 2 programme is operating across six countries with a commitment to inclusive, gender-transformative Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. I led the review end-to-end, designing and facilitating consultations, outcome harvesting workshops, and a multi-stakeholder validation process using feminist and queer methodologies. The review centred youth-led and disability-led organisations throughout, and produced strategic recommendations that strengthened the programme's gender-transformative approach, cross-country coherence, and localisation practice.
Save the Children UK (2023)
Technical Specialist
Global | Positive Parenting | Gender norms
Parenting Without Violence is Save the Children's global common approach to reducing physical and humiliating punishment in the home — but its evaluation tools were not yet capturing whether it was achieving its gender-transformative objectives. I reviewed and strengthened the full suite of impact assessment tools, developing new indicators for medium- and long-term outcomes and designing qualitative and quantitative measures for shifts in gender norms and attitudes among children, caregivers, and communities. The updated tools are now used globally across programme sites.
European Institute for Gender Equality / Tsunagu (2025 - 2026)
Senior Researcher
European Union | FGM | Migration
Existing tools for estimating FGM risk in European migration contexts struggle to capture the full complexity of how risk shifts across migration stages and generations. I led a mixed-methods study to review and synthesise the evidence on drivers, risk factors, and protective factors shaping FGM risk in the EU, and developed a new socio-ecological analytical framework to better conceptualise risk as a contextual and dynamic process. The study produced methodological recommendations to improve EIGE's FGM risk estimation models at EU level.
UNICEF / Ghovodi (2025-2026)
Research and Evaluation Consultant
Democratic Republic of Congo | GBV Prevention | Child Protection | Men & Boys
Preventing GBV and grave violations of children's rights in active conflict requires programming that can adapt in real time to shifting community realities. Working on UNICEF's Community Mobilisation Project in South Kivu, I am leading participatory M&E combining community-driven gender analysis, norms diagnosis, longitudinal evaluation, and indicator development. I also provide capacity-building and mentorship to local M&E teams, strengthening data quality, research ethics, and analytical capacity across the programme.
UNICEF / Ghovodi (2022-2024)
Research, Learning & Evaluation Consultant
Democratic Republic of Congo | GBV Prevention | Gender Norms
Malnutrition and poor maternal health outcomes are not just technical problems — they are deeply shaped by gender norms and household power dynamics. Working on a BMZ-funded UNICEF programme in South Kivu, I provided the social and behaviour change technical leadership to embed a gender-transformative approach across interventions on nutrition, maternal health, family planning, GBV prevention, and household resilience. Over three years I led the full research and learning cycle — from exploratory studies and Theory of Change development through to baseline and endline evaluations — and developed the programme's implementation guide, including curriculum modules, facilitation tools, and a comprehensive M&E toolkit now used across multiple sites.
Institute of Development Studies (2021-2022)
Technical Specialist
Global | Positive Parenting | Gender norms
Women in eastern DRC have long organised collectively to protect themselves and their communities, but their strategies remain largely invisible in formal humanitarian protection frameworks. As part of an AHRC-FCDO funded research project with Oxfam and ActionAid, I led fieldwork documenting community-led protection measures and women's agency in North and South Kivu. The research surfaced the spaces, strategies, and repertoires women use to expand their participation in protection structures, and contributed to a rethinking of what women-led protection actually means in practice in conflict-affected, patriarchal contexts.
